My new husband and I stayed here for one night during our honeymoon. All the Japanese style rooms were booked so we were in a western room. It was very spacious, and had an additional tatami sitting room. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous and the breakfast was beautiful as well as delicious.

We stayed here for 4 nights with 2 adults and 3 primary school aged children. The rooms were great - very comfortable futons on tatami mats. The children loved the communal bath downstairs. Very comfortable, friendly staff, excellent location. Our family loved it and would definitely stay here again. The Japanese breakfast was delicious

We were in Kyoto for 5 days and loved every minute of our stay at this hotel. We stayed the first night in the traditional Japanese room and then moved to the Westhern Style room. Both were clean, comfortable and well worth the stay. The service was exceptional.
