Kyoto Ceramics Center

Kyoto Ceramics Center is actually a two-story shop. This shop displays the potteries made by the Kyoto potters. The potteries are all local made and an excellent example of the local talent.

This shop displays over 10,000 items. The prices are quite reasonable and the tourists can purchase an array of products like sake cups, vases, bowls, plates, chopsticks and many more items.

The Kyoto Ceramic Center is located on Gojo-zaka station enroute to Kiyomizu temple. The shop is easily accessible from any part of the city. Bus numbers 80, 100, 202, 206 and 207 will take you to Gojo-zaka. A mere 2 minutes walk from there would take you to the shop.

The entrance door to the shop is only about 80 cm wide. The shop remains open from 9:30 in the morning till 5 in the evening. However if you are planning to visit Kyoto on the eve of New Year, you will not get the shop open. The Kyoto Ceramic center remains closed from December 30 to January 1.
